An over due update
The wall has been going through some changes these last few weeks. There’s been some problem solving, much needed breaks, and some breakthroughs. I’m really having fun with this project and the idea has taken on a different kind of significance and study. I feel like it’s moving forward. So with the much needed breaks…

Great News
So excited that my art made it into another water show. This will be my second water – themed exhibit and I couldn’t be more happier. We all have a connection to water and it’s important that galleries and curators choose themes such as this to highlight important issues. People always come into my studio…

The wall and chitta vritti
It’s been one of those weeks where I have been completely distracted in general. I can’t seem to focus on one thing at a time. I start doing something, and then my mind leads me elsewhere. I guess that is one of the reasons I’ve been back at making script patterns again. It’s like meditation. …

New work on view tomorrow!
Come see new work at the Workhouse Arts Center. I’m really proud of this body of work. 18 new pieces on wood. 18 rivers of the world represented. When I started creating these works my goal was to experiment with the textures of the wood. How would the washes lay on top of the grain? …

Creating my own virtual world
Are you tired of the Pokemon phenomenon yet? It takes me back to when I started teaching and had to take away all the Pokemon pongs during class because the sixth graders were out of control with their virtual games. It seems like Pokemon is a good distraction for some, but what about art? Art…

New ideas
I’ve been playing around with some new ideas, and I think I’m liking it. One of the benefits of having this studio and time out in the community at P22 is that I get to practice art. Right? I mean if you want to be good at something, you have to keep practicing, exploring and…
