Artist Reception

I had a great time at Sonoma Cellar with all who showed up for the lovely reception, and there is still time to go see the art through November 20th.  So if you’re out and about in Old Town Alexandria, definitely go check out the establishment and the art.  Most of the art is upContinue reading “Artist Reception”

Closing and Opening

Hi Everyone, with the school year in full swing, I can finally get back to announcing shows and sharing some works in progress.  It’s been a busy end of summer! First! If you haven’t made it out to the New Deal Cafe, I still have art exhibiting in it’s restaurant space.  It’s really a sweetContinue reading “Closing and Opening”

Topographic Frequencies

In the last couple of weeks I’ve started a new series.  I was inspired by letters!  Someone posted a really interesting diagram on one of the social media outlets I am on, and -Bam-  and idea!  I decided to use this diagram as a way to create these “Topographic Frequencies”.  I’m really interested in data,Continue reading “Topographic Frequencies”

Mural in Progress, Artist at work

I’ve made some great strides in the mural, adding on different landmarks and symbols.  Take a look.  Keep in mind, it’s not finished, there will be changes, additions and details. This is so much fun.

Mural work

This mural is being completed in a beautiful backyard in Washington, D.C.  Of course it features the water bodiesContinue reading “Mural work”

Workhouse Arts Center

It’s sad to say goodbye to a place that has afforded me so much opportunity in the last year.  I never would have expected to feel so connected to a place in such a short amount of time.  Maybe it’s because it was truly a transition year for me.  There was a lot of breakingContinue reading “Workhouse Arts Center”

This is just a quick note to let you know what I’ve been working on with some fellow Fulbright Alumni.  We launched our non-profit organization, Artlight Global! We merge the fields of art and mathematics to improve learning and motivation for minority students! Check us out and share!

Glen Echo Opening

What an amazing place to have a show.  I can’t remember the last time I was there, but I know it had been quite sometime.  Glen Echo Park is a special place in the DC metro area.  It’s right across the DC and Virginia border, and is maintained by the National Park Service.  It trulyContinue reading “Glen Echo Opening”

Commissions

This year I’ve been fortunate to work on commissions for several people.  Each has been a pleasure to work on and I really can take the time to personalize and tailor an artwork for the people who receive it.  As an emerging artist I welcome commissions. It gives me a chance to take on someoneContinue reading “Commissions”
