Summer time in the Studio

It’s my first week in my studio since I don’t know when.  It’s allowed me to work on a lot of projects that have been pushed to the side or stuck in my head.  This week I’ve already made some movement on some large paintings that should have been completed months ago, but I guessContinue reading “Summer time in the Studio”

On view

I’ve been shifting around some art at the Workhouse today.  I didn’t have much time to work on things, but I have been given some space to showcase some work that I had done previously.  If you stop by you can see a few pieces right when you walk in to Block 6.  I alsoContinue reading “On view”

Where did the week go?

It’s Friday tomorrow and I realize I only spent a few hours in the studio this week.  So sad, really.  There will be a time when I will be able to be there regularly.  This week I managed to start on a new painting.  This will be the first larger one I’ve started since I’veContinue reading “Where did the week go?”

Publishing

Artomatic was a great way for me to get my artwork out there and visible to the public.  This past week I’ve been e-mailing with many people who made contact me through that forum.  It’s been great to hear the feedback and have people share interest in the arts.  It’s great motivation to keep makingContinue reading “Publishing”

Final days

Final two days of the “Invocations” art show.  Head out to Reston Community Center at Lake Anne before we have to take it down.  It’s been a lovely show and great experience.  So glad it came together over the summer.  Can’t wait to get back out there with some more new work in different locations. Continue reading “Final days”

January and February

The last few weeks have afforded me some good work time. QUALITY work time.  And here are the fruits of my labor…. so far. First there was snow.  Not much in this picture, but we ended up about 8 inches. Still working on this one.  I think I’ve been ignoring it on purpose because I’mContinue reading “January and February”
